Uzbek Days of the Week with Pronunciation – Hafta kunlari

The days of the week in Uzbek are: dushanba, seshanba, chorshanba, payshanba, juma, shanba, yakshanba. Thursday in Uzbek is payshanba.

dushanba – Monday
seshanba – Tuesday
chorshanba – Wednesday

Just like in Russian (unlike English), in Uzbek the days of the week are written with a lowercase letter.

Exercises to Practice the Days of the Week in Uzbek

Exercise 1. Listen and repeat the days of the week.

Exercise 2. Write the days of the week.

bugun = _______________

ertaga = _______________

hafta oxiri (uikend) = _______________ va __________________

bugun – today

ertaga – tomorrow

kun – day

hafta – week

Exercise 3. Say the days of the week from Monday (dushanba) to Sunday (yakshanba) from memory. Answer the question: O’zbek tili darslaringiz qaysi kunlari? — On which days are your Uzbek lessons?

Example answer: Dushanba, chorshanba va juma kunlari.

qaysi — which

Bugun qaysi kun? — What day is it today?

Bugun chorshanba. — Today is Wednesday.

Ertaga qaysi kun? — What day is it tomorrow?

Ertaga payshanba. — Tomorrow is Thursday.
