How to fill out a questionnaire, application or registration form in Uzbek? This lesson will help you understand the typical questions asked when completing documents: at a hotel, at customs, when obtaining a visa or a bank card. We will analyze Uzbek wording, practice key phrases and learn how to answer an official’s questions. The exercises are accompanied by a sample form and real-life dialogues.
When preparing the lesson, I studied several real questionnaires, applications and forms and selected the most frequently occurring items.
Filling out a questionnaire, application or form in Uzbek
The questionnaire you see below is based on real documents. It does not exist in exactly this form, but is constructed as an average between several typical forms. By the way, the image in the lesson header is a fragment of a real application for obtaining a Visa card.
Exercise 1. Learning to fill out a questionnaire
Task:
- Look at the Uzbek form and the list of questions.
- Match each line of the questionnaire with the corresponding question.
- Then fill out the questionnaire with truthful information about yourself.
