In recent days, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense has reported on several military training activities conducted at the Nukus and Termez training grounds, as well as in the Termez garrison.
According to the ministry, regular field training exercises were held at the Nukus training ground of the Northwestern Military District. Service members carried out combat training tasks in conditions designed to closely resemble real operational situations. The exercises assessed their ability to engage targets using group weapons systems, tanks, and other military equipment, as well as their capacity to make decisions in response to changing circumstances.
Particular attention was paid to operations conducted in tactical teams, coordination between units, compliance with safety requirements, and the moral and psychological preparedness of personnel.
A field training camp was also held at the Termez combined-arms training ground, involving specialists from radiation, chemical and biological defense (RCBD) units as well as flamethrower units. Personnel practiced radiation and chemical reconnaissance, decontamination of contaminated terrain and equipment, and conducted live-fire exercises in a complex tactical environment.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the training included joint exercises with specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Border Troops of the State Security Service, the National Guard, and the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Service.
In addition, another combat readiness inspection of military units was conducted in the Termez garrison of the Southwestern Special Military District. The exercise began with a combat alert signal, after which personnel brought weapons and military equipment to full readiness, carried out deployment procedures, and moved to designated areas to perform combat training tasks. According to the ministry, the exercises assessed the combat readiness of military units, the effectiveness of weapons and equipment deployment, coordination between units, and the ability of personnel to operate in simulated combat conditions and respond to modern threats.
