I think this paragraph has some truth in it, but it also oversimplifies the topic. It’s true that updating your skills and enlarging your knowledge are important for success, but they are not the only factors. There are also other things that matter, such as passion, creativity, resilience, and networking.
Also, I don’t like the way the paragraph implies that we should always strive for better and never be satisfied with what we have. Sometimes, good is good enough, and we don’t need to stress ourselves out by constantly chasing perfection. Sometimes, we need to appreciate what we have learned and how far we have come.
So, I would say that this paragraph is a good starting point for a discussion, but it needs more nuance and balance. It’s not a one-size-fits-all advice that applies to everyone and every situation.

Today I want to speak about smoking in public places. I’m sure you’ve all seen or smelled someone lighting up a cigarette near you, and maybe you’ve wondered how it affects your health and the environment. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s not good at all!
First of all, smoking in public places exposes non-smokers to secondhand smoke, which can cause serious health problems like lung cancer, heart disease, asthma, and more. According to the World Health Organization, secondhand smoke kills more than 1.2 million people every year. That’s a lot of lives lost because of someone else’s habit!
Secondly, smoking in public places pollutes the air and the surroundings with toxic chemicals and litter. Cigarette butts are the most common form of litter in the world, and they take up to 10 years to decompose. They also contain harmful substances like nicotine, tar, and metals that can leach into the soil and water and harm wildlife and plants.
That’s why I think smoking in all public places should be banned. It’s not fair to force others to breathe in your smoke and suffer the consequences. It’s also not respectful to the environment and the community. If you want to smoke, do it in a designated area or in your own home.
But better yet, why not quit smoking altogether? Smoking is bad for your health, your wallet, and your appearance. It can cause wrinkles, yellow teeth, bad breath, and more. It can also make you addicted and dependent on nicotine, which is hard to break free from.
If you’re a smoker and you want to quit, I have some advice for you. First, find a strong motivation to quit. Maybe it’s your family, your friends, your health, or your future. Whatever it is, keep it in mind whenever you feel tempted to smoke. Second, get some support from others who are trying to quit or who have already quit. This will help you tailor your resume, cover letter, and answers to their specific needs and interests.

I personally think that life will be both easier and harder for the next generation. On one hand, I agree that technology will bring many benefits and opportunities for them. On the other hand, I also see some challenges and risks that they will face. For example, they will have to deal with more competition and pressure in the globalized world. I have mixed feelings about fame. On one hand, I think it’s cool to have a lot of fans, recognition, and opportunities. Maybe for a day or two, just to see how it feels. But not for a lifetime.

I think Uzbekistan has a lot of potential to become a more popular destination for tourists from all over the world. Some of the things that could help are:

Today I want to speak on the theme of environmental problems.
Environmental problems are the negative effects of human activities on the natural environment. They include climate change, pollution, deforestation, biodiversity loss, desertification, and many more. These problems threaten the health and well-being of humans and other living beings, as well as the stability and sustainability of our planet.
What can we do to solve these problems? Well, there is no easy answer, but some possible solutions are:
- Reducing our consumption of fossil fuels and switching to renewable energy sources, such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal power.
- Adopting a more eco-friendly lifestyle, such as using public transportation, biking, or walking instead of driving; recycling and reusing materials; buying local and organic products; avoiding single-use plastics; and saving water and electricity.
- Supporting environmental organizations and movements that advocate for the protection and restoration of nature, such as Greenpeace, WWF, or Fridays for Future.
- Educating ourselves and others about the causes and consequences of environmental problems, and raising awareness and action among our communities, governments, and businesses.
What kind of environmental problems is Uzbekistan facing now? According to various sources, some of the major environmental issues in Uzbekistan are:
- Soil salinity: This is the accumulation of salts in the soil due to excessive irrigation and evaporation. It reduces soil fertility and crop yields, and affects about 50% of the arable land in Uzbekistan.
- Land pollution: This is the contamination of land by chemicals, wastes, or other substances. It is caused by the intensive use of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides for agriculture; the improper disposal of industrial and municipal wastes; and the mining and processing of minerals. It harms soil quality, human health, and wildlife.
- Water pollution: This is the degradation of water quality by chemicals, microorganisms, or other substances. It is caused by the discharge of untreated sewage, agricultural runoff, industrial effluents, and radioactive wastes into rivers, lakes, and groundwater. It affects drinking water supply, irrigation water quality, aquatic ecosystems, and human health.
One of the most tragic examples of water pollution in Uzbekistan is the Aral Sea disaster. The Aral Sea was once the fourth-largest lake in the world, but it has shrunk by more than 90% since the 1960s due to the diversion of its main tributaries for irrigation. This has resulted in ecological, economic, and social catastrophes for the region. The remaining water is highly saline and polluted; the former seabed is exposed to salt and dust storms; the fishing industry has collapsed; and the local population suffers from diseases and poverty.
These are some of the environmental problems that Uzbekistan is facing now. They are not easy to solve, but they are not impossible either. With collective efforts from all stakeholders — individuals, communities, governments, businesses, NGOs — we can make a difference for our environment and our future.

I’d like to share my thoughts and experiences as a high school student. I want to talk about my school and why I love it so much.
My school is a public school in Tashkent (назовите ваш город или село). It’s not very big or fancy, but it has everything I need to learn and have fun. The teachers are friendly and helpful, the classes are interesting and challenging, and the facilities are clean and modern. I especially like the library, where I can borrow books and magazines, and the gym, where I can play sports and exercise.
But what I like most about my school is the people. I have made some amazing friends here who share my hobbies and passions. We always have a great time together, whether we are studying, hanging out, or going on adventures. Some of the things we like to do are:

One of the questions I get asked a lot is: who do you usually talk to when you need help and support? Well, the answer is not so simple. It depends on the situation and what kind of help I need. Sometimes I talk to my friends, because they know me well and they can give me honest advice or just listen to me vent. Other times I talk to my family members, because they have more experience and wisdom and they can offer me guidance or comfort. And sometimes I talk to my teachers, because they are experts in their fields and they can help me with academic or career-related issues.
For example, last week I was feeling stressed about a project I had to do for school. I didn’t know how to start it and I was running out of time. So I decided to talk to my teacher, who gave me some tips on how to organize my work and manage my time better. He also encouraged me to do my best and praised me for my efforts. That really helped me feel more confident and motivated.
So, as you can see, different people can help us in different ways. That’s why it’s important to have a variety of relationships in our lives and to appreciate them. Relationships can make us happier, healthier and more successful. They can also help us grow as individuals and learn from each other.

Today I want to talk about a fable that I’ve just read and what I think it means. The fable must be called «The Hedgehogs and the Cold Winter» and it goes like this:
“It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold. The hedgehogs, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. Then they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. This way they were able to survive”.
This fable is very similar to another one by Aesop, called «The Fox, the Flies and the Hedgehog». In that fable, a fox is trapped by a bush and is attacked by flies that suck his blood. A hedgehog offers to help him by driving away the flies, but the fox refuses, saying that the flies are already full and will not bother him much, but if he gets rid of them, new ones will come and take more blood.
Both fables are about the trade-offs that we have to make in life. Sometimes we have to choose between comfort and safety, or between individuality and community. Sometimes we have to accept the flaws and faults of others, or even ourselves, in order to live in harmony and peace. Sometimes we have to endure some pain and suffering in order to avoid greater harm.
I think these fables are very relevant for our times. We have all faced challenges and difficulties that have tested our resilience and our relationships. We have had to make sacrifices and compromises for the sake of our health and our society. We have had to learn how to cope with isolation and loneliness, or with conflict and tension.

- Think positively. Don’t let negative thoughts take over your mind. Remind yourself of your strengths and achievements. Tell yourself that you can do this and that you’ve worked hard for it.

There were some amazing goals and some tense moments. I was impressed by the skills and stamina of the players.
Watching the match made me think about the benefits of sport. Not only is it good for your physical health, but also for your mental and emotional well-being.
