
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has urged citizens to refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran following U.S. strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran. Uzbekistan also expressed deep concern and called on all parties in the region to achieve peace through negotiations. This was reported on Sunday by the MFA spokesperson on his Telegram channel.
Akhror Burkhanov emphasized that “the rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East is causing deep concern for us.” According to him, Uzbekistan has always advocated for achieving peace through dialogue:
“Uzbekistan has always called on all parties in the region to achieve peace through mutual negotiations.”
The statement also contains a call for Uzbek citizens to refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran. Those who are currently in these countries are advised to leave for safer areas as soon as possible.
In addition, the spokesperson noted that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure citizens’ safety. Citizens are strongly advised to remain vigilant and follow official announcements.
