CARD 21

  1. Speak about industry of your region.
  • What kind of company/industry can you establish in your area? Why?

Now I want to share my insights and tips on doing business in Uzbekistan. Also, I want to talk about the industry of Uzbekistan and what kind of company or industry you can establish in Tashkent, the capital city.

Uzbekistan is a landlocked country in Central Asia with a population of about 36 million people. It has a rich history and culture, as well as abundant natural resources such as gold, natural gas, cotton, and fruits. The country is undergoing economic reforms and opening up to foreign investment and trade.

One of the most promising sectors for doing business in Uzbekistan is the textile industry. Uzbekistan is the world’s sixth-largest producer and exporter of cotton, and has a huge potential to develop its textile and garment industry. The government is offering incentives and support to attract foreign investors and partners in this sector. You can establish a textile factory or a clothing brand in Tashkent, where you can access skilled labor, cheap electricity, and a large domestic market.

Another sector that you can consider is the tourism industry. Uzbekistan has a lot of attractions for tourists, such as ancient cities, mosques, mausoleums, bazaars, and natural landscapes. The country is also part of the Silk Road, which connects Asia and Europe through trade and cultural exchange. You can establish a travel agency or a hotel in Tashkent, where you can offer tours and accommodation to visitors from around the world.

These are just some examples of the industries that you can explore in Uzbekistan. Of course, there are many other opportunities and challenges that you need to consider before starting a business in this country. You need to do your research, understand the local culture and regulations, and find reliable partners and suppliers. But if you are looking for a new market with great potential and growth prospects, Uzbekistan might be the place for you.

I would like to establish a company producing clothes made from cotton and silk here in Tashkent.
Because our republic is the world’s six largest producer and exporter of cotton. It’s also the only state in Central Asia with a silkworm breeding industry. Uzbekistan has a strong textile manufacturing industry. The Tashkent and Andijan textile plants have won international prizes such as the ‘Golden Globe’ prize (awarded by Denmark) and ‘The Golden Star’ prize awarded by Holland to Tashkent garment manufacturers ‘Qizil Tong‘ and ‘Yulduz’.
People want to wear smart and cheap clothes, and I want to help them with it. The clothes produced at my factory would be smart and cheap.

CARD 22

  1. Speak on the topic “Holidays”.
  • What holiday do you like most? Why?
  • What do you usually do on holidays?

Now I want to talk about holidays. Holidays are a great way to relax, have fun and enjoy life. I love holidays because they give me a break from the routine and stress of everyday life. They also allow me to explore new places, cultures and people.

My favorite holiday is Christmas (замените здесь и далее Christmas на название праздника, который вы отмечаете). I love Christmas because it is a time of joy, peace and love. It is also a time to celebrate with family and friends, exchange gifts and eat delicious food. I always look forward to Christmas because it makes me feel happy and grateful for all the blessings in my life.

On holidays, I usually like to do different things depending on the season and the destination. Sometimes I like to go to the beach and enjoy the sun, the sand and the sea. Other times I like to go to the mountains and admire the nature, the snow and the fresh air. I also like to visit museums, monuments and historical sites to learn more about the history and culture of the places I visit. And of course, I always like to try new foods and drinks that are typical of the regions I travel to.

Holidays are a wonderful opportunity to have fun, learn and grow as a person. They enrich my life and make me appreciate the beauty and diversity of the world. What about you? What is your favorite holiday and why? What do you usually do on holidays?

CARD 23

  1. Speak on the topic “History”.
  • Do you think it is important to study history? Why/Why not?
  • What can we learn by studying history?

I would like to talk about history. Do you think it is important to study history? Why or why not?

I think history is very important to study because it helps us understand ourselves and the world better. History shows us how people lived in different times and places, what they valued, what they struggled with, and what they achieved. History also shows us how events and ideas shaped the present and how they might influence the future.

By studying history, we can learn many things. We can learn from the mistakes and successes of others, we can appreciate different cultures and perspectives, we can develop critical thinking and analytical skills, and we can find inspiration and guidance for our own lives. History is not just a collection of facts and dates, but a rich source of stories and lessons that can enrich our minds and hearts.

What do you think? Do you like history? What are some of the benefits of studying history for you?

CARD 24

  1. Speak on the topic “Future professions”.
  • How do you think?
  • What kind of new jobs will appear in the future?
  • How will they be different from traditional jobs?

Have you ever wondered what kind of jobs will exist in the future? How will technology, climate change, and social trends shape the way we work and earn a living? Now I will share some of my thoughts on how the future of work might look like and what kind of new professions might emerge.

One thing that I think will be more common in the future is remote work. Thanks to the internet and digital tools, we can now communicate and collaborate with people from anywhere in the world. This means that we can choose where we want to live and work, without being limited by geographical boundaries. Remote work also offers more flexibility and autonomy, as well as lower costs and environmental impact.

Another trend that I think will affect the future of work is automation. Many tasks that are repetitive, routine, or dangerous can be done by machines or software, freeing up human workers to focus on more creative, complex, or social aspects of their jobs. Automation can also create new opportunities for learning and skill development, as well as new challenges for ethical and legal issues.

Some examples of new professions that might arise from automation are:

  • Data analyst: A person who collects, processes, and interprets large amounts of data to provide insights and solutions for various problems or goals.
  • Robot trainer: A person who teaches and guides robots how to perform tasks or interact with humans and other machines.
  • Cybersecurity specialist: A person who protects data and systems from cyberattacks and ensures compliance with security standards and regulations.

Another factor that I think will influence the future of work is sustainability. As we face the consequences of climate change and environmental degradation, we need to find ways to reduce our impact on the planet and use resources more efficiently and responsibly. This means that we need to adopt more green practices and technologies in our industries and lifestyles.

Some examples of new professions that might emerge from sustainability are:

  • Renewable energy engineer: A person who designs, develops, and installs renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, or biomass.
  • Environmental consultant: A person who advises businesses and organizations on how to improve their environmental performance and comply with environmental regulations.
  • Urban farmer: A person who grows food in urban spaces such as rooftops, balconies, or vertical gardens.

These are just some of the possible future professions that I can imagine. Of course, there are many more factors and uncertainties that could affect the future of work, such as social changes, political events, or scientific discoveries. The future is unpredictable, but also exciting. What do you think? What kind of new jobs do you expect to see in the future?

CARD 25

  1. Speak on the topic “Computer games”.
  • Do you think they are useful or not? Why?
  • In what ways can computer games help kids?

I want to share my thoughts on computer games. Do you think they are useful or not? Why?

I know some people think that computer games are a waste of time and money. They say that they are addictive, violent and harmful for kids. But I disagree. I think computer games can be very useful and beneficial for kids, if they are played in moderation and with parental guidance.

Here are some ways that computer games can help kids:

  • They can improve their cognitive skills, such as memory, attention, problem-solving and creativity. Computer games often require players to remember information, follow instructions, solve puzzles and come up with new ideas.
  • They can enhance their social skills, such as communication, cooperation and empathy. Computer games can foster friendships and teamwork among players, as well as teach them how to respect different opinions and perspectives.
  • They can boost their self-esteem and motivation. Computer games can provide kids with a sense of achievement and reward, as well as challenge them to overcome difficulties and learn from mistakes.

Of course, not all computer games are suitable for kids. Some games may contain inappropriate content, such as violence, sex and drugs. Parents should always check the ratings and reviews of the games before buying or downloading them. They should also limit the time and frequency that their kids play computer games, and encourage them to balance their gaming with other activities, such as reading, sports and hobbies.

So what do you think? Do you agree or disagree with me? Do you have any other opinions or experiences about computer games?

CARD 26

  1. Speak on the topic “Alternative energy resources”.
  • What are they?
  • Why are they important?

I want to share my thoughts on science and technology. I want to talk about alternative energy resources. What are they and why are they important?

Alternative energy resources are sources of energy that can be replenished naturally and do not rely on fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas. Some examples of alternative energy resources are solar energy, wind power, hydroelectric power, geothermal energy, tidal power, and biofuels.

Why are alternative energy resources important? Well, there are many reasons, but here are five of them:

  • They reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help fight climate change. Fossil fuels emit carbon dioxide and other gases that trap heat in the atmosphere and cause global warming. Alternative energy resources do not produce these harmful emissions or produce much less of them.
  • They improve air quality and public health. Fossil fuels also release pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter that cause smog, acid rain, and respiratory diseases. Alternative energy resources do not pollute the air or pollute much less.
  • They enhance energy security and independence. Fossil fuels are finite and unevenly distributed around the world. This means that some countries depend on others for their energy supply and may face political and economic instability. Alternative energy resources are abundant and available everywhere. This means that countries can produce their own energy and reduce their dependence on foreign sources.
  • They create jobs and economic opportunities. Alternative energy resources require more workers to install, operate, and maintain than fossil fuels. This means that they create more jobs and income for local communities. Alternative energy resources also stimulate innovation and research in new technologies and industries.
  • They save money and resources. Alternative energy resources are cheaper and more efficient than fossil fuels in the long run. This means that they save money for consumers and businesses on their energy bills. Alternative energy resources also conserve natural resources such as water, land, and wildlife that are affected by fossil fuel extraction and use.

As you can see, alternative energy resources have many benefits for the environment, society, and economy. That’s why I think we should support and promote them as much as possible. What do you think?

CARD 27

  1. Speak about your favorite book.
  • Whose book is it?
  • What is your takeaway from that book?

I want to share with you my favorite book of all time. It’s called The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. If you haven’t read it yet, you’re missing out on a hilarious and witty adventure across the universe. The book is about Arthur Dent, a regular human who escapes Earth just before it is destroyed by a Vogon constructor fleet. He is rescued by his friend Ford Prefect, who turns out to be an alien writer for the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, a sort of electronic encyclopedia that contains everything you need to know about life, the universe and everything. Together, they hitchhike their way through space, meeting all kinds of bizarre characters and situations.

The book is full of humor, satire, absurdity and creativity. It makes fun of many aspects of human culture, politics, religion and science. It also explores some deep philosophical questions, such as the meaning of life and the nature of reality. The book is not only entertaining, but also thought-provoking and inspiring.

My takeaway from this book is that life is unpredictable and sometimes absurd, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it and make the best of it. The book teaches me to be curious, adventurous and open-minded. It also reminds me to always carry a towel with me, because you never know when you might need it.

If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh out loud and also make you think, I highly recommend The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It’s a classic that never gets old. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

CARD 28

  1. Speak on the topic “Public holidays”.
  • What kind of public holidays do you have in your country?
  • How are they celebrated?
  • What do you usually do on these days?

There are many public holidays that reflect the history, traditions and beliefs of the Uzbek people. Here are some of the most important ones:

  • Navruz: This is the Persian New Year that falls on March 21st. It is a celebration of spring and renewal. People wear colorful clothes, decorate their homes with flowers and greenery, and prepare special dishes like sumalak (a sweet porridge made from wheat sprouts) and halim (a meat and wheat soup). They also visit their relatives and friends, exchange gifts and enjoy music and dancing.
  • Independence Day: This is the national holiday of Uzbekistan that commemorates the declaration of independence from the Soviet Union on September 1st, 1991. It is a day of pride and patriotism for the Uzbek people. They attend parades, concerts and fireworks shows, and display the national flag and emblem.
  • Eid al-Fitr: This is the Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting. It is a day of joy and gratitude for Muslims. They perform prayers, give charity to the poor, and celebrate with their families and friends. They also eat delicious food like pilaf (a rice dish with meat and vegetables), samsa (a pastry filled with meat or cheese) and baklava (a sweet pastry with nuts and honey).
  • Eid al-Adha: This is another Islamic holiday that honors the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God. It is a day of sacrifice and generosity for Muslims. They slaughter an animal (usually a sheep or a goat) and distribute its meat to their relatives, neighbors and the needy. They also pray, visit the graves of their ancestors and enjoy festive meals.

These are some of the public holidays in Uzbekistan that I wanted to tell you about. I hope you learned something new and interesting from me.

CARD 29

  1. Speak about sports.
  • Are there some sports in your country only for girls or only for boys?
  • Which ones are played only by girls or only by boys?

Now I want to talk about sports in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan is a country with a rich and diverse culture. One of the aspects of this culture is the role of sports in society. Sports are very popular and widely practiced in Uzbekistan, both by men and women. However, there are some sports that are considered more suitable for one gender than the other. Let me tell you more about them.

One of the sports that is traditionally played only by girls in Uzbekistan is rhythmic gymnastics. It is a sport that combines elements of ballet, dance, and acrobatics with various apparatus such as hoops, balls, clubs, and ribbons. Uzbekistan is one of the countries that participates in rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the international level.

Another sport that is mostly played by boys in Uzbekistan is buzkashi. Buzkashi is a game that involves riding horses and trying to grab a goat carcass from the ground or from other players. Buzkashi is a very rough and dangerous sport, where riders often clash and fall from their horses. Buzkashi is a sport of courage, endurance and teamwork, where the goal is to score points by bringing the goat carcass to a designated area. Buzkashi is very popular among boys and men in Uzbekistan, who play it for fun or for money. Buzkashi is also a symbol of male honor and prestige in Uzbekistan.

These are just two examples of sports that are gender-specific in Uzbekistan. There are many other sports that are enjoyed by both genders, such as soccer, volleyball, tennis, chess and more. Sports are a great way to stay healthy, have fun and learn new skills.

CARD 30

  1. Speak on the topic “Motivation”.
  • What inspires you?

Now I want to talk about motivation. Motivation is the force that drives us to do things, whether it’s pursuing a goal, overcoming a challenge, or simply enjoying life. But what inspires us to be motivated? How do we find the spark that ignites our passion and enthusiasm?

For me, inspiration comes from many sources. Sometimes it’s from reading a book, watching a movie, or listening to a podcast that resonates with me. Sometimes it’s from seeing someone else achieve something amazing, or witnessing an act of kindness or courage. Sometimes it’s from nature, art, music, or spirituality. And sometimes it’s from within, from my own values, dreams, and aspirations.

I think inspiration is everywhere, if we are open to it. We just need to pay attention to what makes us feel alive, curious, and excited. We need to follow our interests and passions, and explore new possibilities and perspectives. We need to challenge ourselves and learn from our failures and successes. And we need to surround ourselves with positive and supportive people who inspire us to be our best selves.

Of course, inspiration is not enough to keep us motivated. We also need to have a clear vision of what we want to achieve, and a plan of action to get there. We need to set realistic and specific goals, and track our progress and results. We need to celebrate our achievements and reward ourselves for our efforts. And we need to cope with setbacks and obstacles, and overcome procrastination and self-doubt.

Motivation is not something that we have or don’t have. It’s something that we can cultivate and nurture every day. It’s a skill that we can improve and master over time. And it’s a gift that we can share with others, by inspiring them with our words and actions.

So what inspires you? What motivates you to do what you do?

CARD 1

  1. Speak on the topic “My learning strategies”.
  • What do you do to learn effectively?

I want to share with you some of my learning strategies that help me study better and achieve my goals. Learning is a lifelong process that can be fun and rewarding if you know how to do it effectively. Here are some of the things that I do to learn new things and improve my skills.

  • I set SMART goals. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This means that I have a clear idea of what I want to learn, how I will measure my progress, how realistic and challenging my goals are, how they relate to my bigger vision, and when I want to achieve them. Having SMART goals helps me stay focused and motivated.
  • I use the Feynman technique. The Feynman technique is a simple but powerful way of learning anything by explaining it in simple terms. The idea is that if you can explain something to a child or someone who knows nothing about the topic, then you have understood it well. To use this technique, I write down the name of the concept or topic that I want to learn on a piece of paper. Then I try to explain it in simple words, using examples and analogies. If I get stuck or confused, I go back to the source material and review it until I can explain it clearly. This helps me identify and fill the gaps in my knowledge and deepen my understanding.
  • I review and recall regularly. Reviewing and recalling are essential for transferring information from short-term memory to long-term memory. This means that I can remember what I learned for a longer time and apply it in different situations. To review and recall effectively, I use spaced repetition and active recall techniques. Spaced repetition is a method of reviewing information at increasing intervals of time, such as after one day, one week, one month, etc. This helps me avoid forgetting and strengthens the neural connections in my brain. Active recall is a method of retrieving information from memory without looking at the source material, such as by using flashcards, quizzes, or self-testing. This helps me check my understanding and reinforce my memory.

CARD 2

  1. Speak on the topic “Internet”.
  • How did the Internet change our life?
  • For what purposes do you use internet?

Now I want to talk about the Internet and how it has changed our life. The Internet is a global network of computers that allows us to communicate, share information, and access various services online. It is hard to imagine a world without the Internet nowadays, as it has become an essential part of our daily activities.

How did the Internet change our life? Well, for starters, it has made communication faster and easier. We can send and receive messages, make phone calls, and video chat with anyone around the world in seconds. We can also stay in touch with our friends and family through social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The Internet has also enabled us to access a vast amount of information on any topic we are interested in. We can search for anything on Google, watch videos on YouTube, read articles on Wikipedia, and learn new skills on online courses. The Internet has also opened up new opportunities for entertainment, education, business, and more.

For what purposes do I use the Internet? Well, I use it for many things. I use it to check my email, read the news, watch movies and shows on Netflix, listen to music on Spotify, play games on Steam, shop online on Amazon, and book travel tickets on Expedia. I enjoy using the Internet because it makes my life easier and more fun.

What about you? How do you use the Internet? How has it changed your life?

CARD 3

  1. Speak on the topic “My future profession”.
  • How are you preparing for your future job?
  • What kind of skills do you need for your future job?

Now I want to talk about my future profession and how I am preparing for it.

As some of you may know, I have always been interested in becoming a teacher. I love working with children and helping them learn new things. I think teaching is a very rewarding and meaningful career that can make a positive impact on society.

So how am I preparing for my future job? Well, first of all, I am studying hard at school to get good grades and learn as much as I can. I am also taking some extra courses online to improve my skills in subjects like math, science, and languages. I think these skills are very important for any teacher, especially in today’s world where technology and innovation are changing rapidly.

Secondly, I am volunteering at a local school as a tutor and a mentor for younger students. This gives me a chance to practice my teaching skills and gain some experience in working with different age groups and learning styles. I also enjoy interacting with the teachers and getting their feedback and advice on how to become a better teacher.

Thirdly, I am reading a lot of books and articles about education and pedagogy. I want to learn from the experts and the best practices in the field. I also want to keep up with the latest trends and developments in education and see how they can be applied in my future classroom.

These are some of the ways I am preparing for my future profession as a teacher.

CARD 4

  1. Speak on the topic “My school”.
  • Why do you like your school? Is there anything you want to change in
    your school?

I want to share with you some thoughts about my school. I go to a public high school in Tashkent (используйте название вашего города; если вы посещаете частную школу, вместо слова «public» используйте «private» ), and I really enjoy it. Here are some reasons why I like my school and some things I would like to change.

First of all, I like my school because of the teachers. They are very friendly and supportive, and they always try to make the lessons interesting and fun. They also encourage us to ask questions and express our opinions, which helps us develop our critical thinking skills. I appreciate how they care about our learning and well-being.

Secondly, I like my school because of the extracurricular activities. There are many clubs and teams that we can join, such as drama, chess, soccer, basketball, etc. (используйте названия кружков в вашей школе) I am part of the school newspaper and the debate team, and I love both of them. They allow me to explore my interests and talents, and to meet new friends who share the same passions. They also teach me valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and creativity.

However, there are also some things that I would like to change in my school. One of them is the cafeteria food. It is often bland and unhealthy, and there is not much variety. I wish we could have more options and better quality food that would nourish our bodies and minds. Another thing that I would like to change is the school uniform. It is too strict and boring, and it does not reflect our personalities or cultures. I think we should be allowed to wear what we want, as long as it is appropriate and respectful.

In conclusion, I like my school for many reasons, but I also think there is room for improvement. I am grateful for the education and opportunities that my school provides me, but I also hope that it can become more flexible and diverse in the future. What about you? Is there anything you want to change in the school?

CARD 5

  1. Speak on the topic “Leisure time”.
  • What do you do in your free time?
  • Who do you usually spend your free time with?

I want to talk about leisure time and how I spend it. Leisure time is the time when you are not working or studying, and you can do whatever you want. It is important to have some leisure time to relax, have fun and enjoy life.

So what do I do in my free time? Well, I have a lot of hobbies and interests that keep me busy and entertained. Some of them are reading, writing, playing video games, watching movies and shows, listening to music, cooking and baking, gardening and hiking. I like to try new things and learn new skills as well. For example, recently I started learning how to play the guitar and how to speak Spanish.

Who do I usually spend my free time with? It depends on the activity and my mood. Sometimes I like to be alone and enjoy some quiet time. Other times I like to hang out with my friends and family and have some social time. I think it is good to have a balance between solitude and company. Both can be beneficial for your mental health and happiness.

How do you spend your leisure time?

CARD 6

  1. Speak on the topic “My school day”.
  • What is your benefit from attending school?
  • Do you think school is providing all skills and knowledge you need?

Now I want to talk about my school day and what I get out of it.

I go to school every weekday from 8 am to 3 pm (назовите время вашего нахождения в школе). I have different classes like math, science, history, English, and art. I also have some free time to hang out with my friends or do some homework. I enjoy learning new things and challenging myself in different subjects. I think school is important because it helps me develop my skills and knowledge that I will need in the future. It also exposes me to different perspectives and cultures that broaden my horizons.

However, I don’t think school is perfect or enough for me. Sometimes I feel bored or frustrated by the curriculum or the teaching methods. I wish I had more opportunities to explore my interests and passions outside of the standard subjects. I also think school should teach more practical skills like financial literacy, communication, or problem-solving. I don’t want to just memorize facts and pass exams. I want to learn how to apply what I know in real life situations.

That’s why I try to supplement my school education with other activities and resources. I read books and articles on topics that interest me. I watch videos and podcasts that inspire me or teach me something new. I join clubs and groups that allow me to express myself creatively or socially. I volunteer for causes that I care about or that make a difference in the world. I think these are all ways that help me grow as a person and prepare me for the future.

So that’s a summary of my school day and what I think about it. What about you? Do you like our school? Do you think it’s providing all the skills and knowledge children need?

CARD 7

  1. Speak on the topic “Leadership”.
  • What is it? What qualities should leaders have?
  • Do you consider yourself as a leader?

Now I want to talk about leadership. What is it? What qualities should leaders have? Do I consider myself as a leader?

Leadership is the ability to inspire and influence others to achieve a common goal. It is not just about having authority or power, but about having a vision, a passion, and a sense of responsibility. Leaders are not born, they are made. They learn from their experiences, their mistakes, and their mentors.

Some of the qualities that leaders should have are:

  • Integrity: Leaders should be honest, ethical, and trustworthy. They should act in accordance with their values and principles, and expect the same from others.
  • Communication: Leaders should be able to communicate effectively with different audiences, using different modes and styles. They should be able to listen actively, express their ideas clearly, and give constructive feedback.
  • Creativity: Leaders should be able to think outside the box, find innovative solutions, and embrace change. They should be open-minded, curious, and willing to learn new things.
  • Empathy: Leaders should be able to understand and relate to the feelings, needs, and perspectives of others. They should be compassionate, respectful, and supportive.
  • Confidence: Leaders should be confident in themselves, their abilities, and their decisions. They should be able to face challenges, overcome obstacles, and take risks. They should also be humble enough to admit their weaknesses and seek help when needed.

Do I consider myself as a leader? Well, I think I have some of these qualities, but I also have a lot of room for improvement. I try to practice leadership in my daily life, whether it is at school, at home, or in my community. I believe that everyone can be a leader in their own way, as long as they have a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference.

What about you? Do you think you are a leader? What qualities do you have or want to develop?

CARD 8

  1. Speak on the topic “Public and private education”.
  • Compare.
  • Which is better? Why?

I want to talk about public and private education. This is a topic that many people have different opinions on, and I want to share mine with you.

Public education is the system of schools that are funded and run by the government. Private education is the system of schools that are funded and run by private entities, such as religious organizations, corporations, or individuals.

There are pros and cons to both types of education. Public education is usually more accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of their background or income. Public schools also have to follow certain standards and regulations, which can ensure quality and accountability. However, public education can also suffer from overcrowding, underfunding, bureaucracy, and lack of diversity. Public schools may not be able to cater to the specific needs and interests of each student.

Private education, on the other hand, can offer more flexibility and choice for students and parents. Private schools can have smaller class sizes, more personalized curricula, better facilities, and more extracurricular activities. Private schools can also foster a sense of community and identity among their students and staff. However, private education can also be very expensive and exclusive. Private schools may not be accessible or affordable for everyone, and they may not have to follow the same standards and regulations as public schools. Private schools may also promote elitism and segregation among different groups of society.

So which is better? Public or private education? Well, there is no definitive answer to this question. It depends on many factors, such as the quality of the schools, the preferences of the students and parents, the availability of resources, and the goals of education. I think that both public and private education have their merits and drawbacks, and that the best option is to have a balance between them. I think that public education should be improved and supported by the government, so that it can provide a high-quality and inclusive education for everyone. I also think that private education should be regulated and monitored by the government, so that it can maintain its standards and accountability, and that it can contribute to the public good.

What do you think? Do you prefer public or private education? Why?

CARD 9

  1. Speak on the topic “School trips”.
  • How do you think of them?
  • Should schools have more trips? Why?
  • What can you learn from school trips?

School trips are a great way to have fun and learn new things. I always look forward to them because they give me a chance to explore different places and cultures. I think schools should have more trips because they can enrich the students’ education and broaden their horizons. School trips can teach us many things that we can’t learn in the classroom, such as history, geography, art, science, and more. They can also help us develop skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. School trips are not only educational but also enjoyable. They allow us to bond with our classmates and teachers, make new friends, and create lasting memories. I think school trips are one of the best parts of being a student.

  1. Speak on the topic “Travelling”.
  • Do you like travelling? Why/Why not?
  • What can you learn from travelling?

I want to talk about travelling. Do you like travelling? I love it! Travelling is one of my favorite hobbies and I try to do it as often as I can. Why do I like travelling so much? Well, there are many reasons.

First of all, travelling is fun. You get to see new places, meet new people, try new foods, and experience new cultures. Travelling is also a great way to relax and escape from the stress of everyday life. You can enjoy the beauty of nature, the excitement of adventure, or the tranquility of solitude.

Secondly, travelling is educational. You can learn a lot from travelling. You can learn about the history, geography, art, and religion of different countries. You can also learn about yourself. Travelling challenges you to step out of your comfort zone and adapt to different situations. You can discover new skills, interests, and perspectives.

Finally, travelling is rewarding. You can make lasting memories and friendships from travelling. You can also make a positive impact on the world. Travelling can help you appreciate the diversity and richness of life. You can also contribute to the development and conservation of the places you visit.

So, these are some of the reasons why I like travelling. What about you? Do you like travelling? Why or why not?

  1. Speak on the topic “Tourism”.
  • What kind of things can tourists do in your place?

Now I want to talk about tourism and share some tips on what kind of things you can do in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Tashkent is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture, and there are plenty of attractions for tourists to enjoy (используйте название вашего города).

One of the things you can do in Tashkent is to visit the old town, where you can see the ancient mosques, madrasas, and bazaars that date back to the Silk Road era. You can also admire the architecture and craftsmanship of the buildings, and learn more about the Islamic heritage of the city. Some of the most famous landmarks in the old town are the Kukeldash Madrasa, the Barak-Khan Madrasa, and the Chorsu Bazaar. (вместо них назовите популярные достопримечательности вашего города)

Another thing you can do in Tashkent is to explore the modern part of the city, where you can find museums, parks, monuments, and shopping malls. You can also enjoy the nightlife and entertainment options that the city offers, such as restaurants, cafes, bars, and clubs. Some of the most popular places in the modern part of the city are the Amir Timur Museum, the Independence Square, and the Tashkent Tower. (назовите современные достопримечательности вашего города)

A third thing you can do in Tashkent is to experience the nature and scenery around the city. You can take a day trip to the nearby mountains, where you can hike, ski, or relax in a resort. You can also visit some of the lakes and rivers that surround the city, where you can swim, fish, or picnic. Some of the most beautiful places near Tashkent are the Chimgan Mountains, the Charvak Lake, and the Syr Darya River.(вместо них используйте названия мест вокруг вашего города)

These are just some of the things you can do in Tashkent as a tourist.

CARD 12

  1. Speak about animals.
  • What is your favorite animal?
  • Why do you like it?
  • Do you often go to zoos?
  • How do you think about keeping animals in zoos?

I want to share with you some of my thoughts about animals. Animals are amazing creatures that live in different habitats and have different abilities. They can be cute, scary, funny, or fascinating. But do you have a favorite animal?

My favorite animal is the dolphin. I like dolphins because they are very smart and friendly. They can communicate with each other using sounds and gestures. They can also learn tricks and play games with humans. I think dolphins are very graceful and beautiful in the water.

I don’t often go to zoos because I prefer to see animals in their natural environment. I think keeping animals in zoos can be good for education and conservation, but it can also be stressful and boring for the animals. I think zoos should provide enough space and enrichment for the animals to keep them healthy and happy.

What about you? What is your favorite animal and why? Do you like going to zoos or not?

CARD 13

  1. Speak about awards and prizes.
  • Do you have any awards or prizes?
  • What did you win them for?
  • Do you think awards and prizes are important? Why/Why not?

I want to talk about awards and prizes. Do you have any awards or prizes? I do! I have won a few awards in my life, mostly for academic achievements and writing contests. I’m very proud of them and I keep them in a special place in my room.

What did I win them for? Well, I won a spelling bee when I was in elementary school, a math competition when I was in middle school, a poetry contest when I was in high school, and a scholarship when I was in college. I also won a blogging award last year for this very blog! It was such an honor and a surprise. (назовите ваши награды)

Do I think awards and prizes are important? Yes and no. Yes, because they can motivate you to work hard and improve yourself. They can also boost your confidence and make you feel appreciated. They can also open up new opportunities and connections for you. No, because they are not the only measure of your worth or success. They are not the only source of happiness or fulfillment. They can also create pressure and stress for you. They can also make you compare yourself to others and feel inadequate.

So, my advice is to enjoy awards and prizes if you get them, but don’t let them define you or consume you. Remember that there are many other ways to celebrate your achievements and talents. Remember that you are more than your trophies and certificates. Remember that you are awesome just the way you are!

CARD 14

  1. Speak on the topic “My favourite meal”.
  • Why do you like it?
  • Speak about the process of preparing it

My favourite meal is pizza. I love pizza because it is delicious, cheesy and versatile. You can put any toppings you want on it and make it your own. Pizza is also easy to make at home, and I enjoy the process of preparing it.

To make pizza, you need some pizza dough, tomato sauce, cheese and your favourite toppings. You can buy ready-made dough or make your own with flour, yeast, water, salt and oil. I like to make my own dough because it is fun and satisfying.

First, you have to mix the flour, yeast, salt and water in a large bowl and knead it for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Then you have to put it in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until it doubles in size.

Next, you have to punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface. You can shape it into a circle or a rectangle depending on your preference. Then you have to transfer it to a baking sheet or a pizza stone and spread some tomato sauce over it. Sprinkle some cheese on top and add your toppings. I like to use pepperoni, mushrooms, olives and pineapple.

Finally, you have to bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown. Cut into slices and enjoy your homemade pizza!

CARD 15

  1. Speak about toys.
  • Do you think toys are necessary for kids’ development?
  • What kind of toys should they play with?
  • Did you have many toys when you were young?

I want to talk about toys. Do you think toys are necessary for kids’ development? What kind of toys should they play with? Did you have many toys when you were young?

I think toys are very important for kids’ development. According to a book by Cambridge University Press, toys and play contribute to the development of language, imagination, and intellectual achievement. Toys can also help kids express their emotions and cope with stress. They can stimulate their creativity and curiosity, as well as their physical and social skills.

But not all toys are created equal. Some toys are more beneficial than others, depending on the age and interests of the child. For example, toddlers may enjoy simple toys that make sounds or have bright colors, while older kids may prefer more complex toys that challenge their thinking or creativity. The New York Times has a great guide on the best gifts for kids of different ages, which you can check out if you need some ideas.

I remember when I was young, I had a lot of toys. Some of my favorites were Lego bricks, stuffed animals, puzzles, and board games. I used to spend hours playing with them, either by myself or with my friends and family. I think they helped me develop a lot of skills and hobbies that I still enjoy today.

What about you? What kind of toys did you like when you were young? Do you still play with them sometimes?

CARD 16

  1. Speak on the topic “Social networks”.
  • What do you think?
  • Are they useful or not?
  • What kind of social networks do you use why do you use them?

I want to talk about social networks and share my thoughts on them. Social networks are online platforms that allow people to connect with each other, share information, and create communities. They have become very popular in the past decade, and many people use them for various purposes. But are they really useful or not? What kind of social networks do you use and why do you use them?

I think social networks have both advantages and disadvantages, depending on how you use them. Some of the advantages are:

  • You can connect with people from all over the world, regardless of time and distance. You can stay in touch with your friends and family, meet new people who share your interests, and learn about different cultures and perspectives.
  • You can access a lot of information and resources, such as news, articles, videos, podcasts, courses, etc. You can also share your own content and express your opinions and creativity.
  • You can join communities that support your goals and values, such as professional networks, hobby groups, social movements, etc. You can also participate in online events, activities, and discussions that enrich your knowledge and skills.

Some of the disadvantages are:

  • You can waste a lot of time and energy on social networks if you are not careful. You can get distracted by irrelevant or negative content, spend too much time scrolling or browsing, or neglect your offline responsibilities and relationships.
  • You can expose yourself to privacy and security risks, such as identity theft, cyberbullying, hacking, phishing, etc. You have to be careful about what you share online and who you trust.
  • You can experience social comparison and pressure, such as feeling inadequate, jealous, or anxious about your online image and popularity. You have to remember that social networks are not a true reflection of reality and that everyone has their own struggles and challenges.

Personally, I use different social networks for different purposes. I use Facebook to keep in touch with my old friends and relatives who live far away. I use Instagram to follow my favorite celebrities and influencers who inspire me. I use Twitter to stay updated on the latest news and trends. I use LinkedIn to network with professionals in the field I am interested in and look for career opportunities. I use Reddit to join communities that interest me and have fun discussions.

What about you? What do you think about social networks? Are they useful or not? What kind of social networks do you use and why do you use them?

CARD 17

  1. Speak on the topic “Homeschooling”.
  • What is it?
  • Do you think it is good or bad? Why/Why not?

I want to talk about homeschooling. What is it? Do I think it is good or bad? Why or why not?

Homeschooling is a form of education where parents or tutors teach their children at home instead of sending them to a school. There are different reasons why some families choose homeschooling, such as religious beliefs, dissatisfaction with the school system, special needs of the child, or personal preferences.

I think homeschooling has its pros and cons, like any other form of education. Some of the benefits of homeschooling are:

  • It allows more flexibility and customization of the curriculum and schedule according to the child’s interests and abilities.
  • It fosters a closer relationship between the parent and the child, as well as among siblings.
  • It provides a safe and comfortable learning environment for the child, free from bullying, peer pressure, or distractions.
  • It can save time and money on transportation, uniforms, fees, and other expenses.

Some of the drawbacks of homeschooling are:

  • It can be challenging and stressful for the parent to balance teaching and other responsibilities, such as work or household chores.
  • It can limit the socialization and interaction opportunities for the child with other children and adults outside the family.
  • It can create gaps or inconsistencies in the child’s academic knowledge and skills, especially if the parent is not qualified or experienced in teaching certain subjects.
  • It can make it harder for the child to transition to college or work later in life, as they may lack some of the necessary credentials or experiences.

So, what do I think? Well, I think homeschooling can be a good option for some families, but not for everyone. It depends on many factors, such as the parent’s ability and availability, the child’s personality and needs, and the family’s goals and values. I think homeschooling should be a choice that is made after careful research and consideration of all the pros and cons. And I think homeschooling should be done with respect and support from both the homeschooling community and the public school system.

What do you think? Do you have any experience with homeschooling? Do you agree or disagree with me?

CARD 18

  1. Speak on the topic “Globalization”.
  • Is it good or bad?
  • How does it affect our lives?

Globalization is a term that describes the increasing interconnectedness of the world in terms of culture, economy, politics, and technology. Some people think globalization is good because it promotes trade, diversity, innovation, and cooperation among different countries and regions. Others think globalization is bad because it creates inequality, environmental degradation, cultural homogenization, and loss of sovereignty for some nations.

I will share my personal opinion on globalization and how it affects our lives. I believe that globalization has both positive and negative aspects, and that we need to balance them carefully to ensure a fair and sustainable future for everyone.

One of the benefits of globalization is that it allows us to access goods, services, information, and opportunities from all over the world. For example, we can buy products from different countries, travel to different places, learn from different sources, and communicate with different people online. This can enrich our lives and broaden our horizons.

However, globalization also has some drawbacks that we need to be aware of. For instance, globalization can lead to unfair competition, exploitation, and domination by powerful corporations and countries over weaker ones. This can result in poverty, human rights violations, environmental damage, and social unrest in some parts of the world.

Another challenge of globalization is that it can threaten our local cultures and identities. For example, globalization can cause us to lose our languages, traditions, values, and customs due to the influence of dominant cultures and media. This can erode our sense of belonging and diversity.

Therefore, I think that globalization is not inherently good or bad, but rather a complex phenomenon that has both advantages and disadvantages. I think that we should embrace the positive aspects of globalization while also being mindful of the negative ones. I think that we should strive for a more inclusive, equitable, and respectful form of globalization that respects the rights and dignity of all people and protects the environment. I think that we should also preserve and celebrate our local cultures and identities while also learning from and appreciating other cultures and perspectives.

CARD 19

  1. Speak about museums.
  • Do you like visiting museums?
  • Are museums important today? Why/Why not?

I want to talk about museums. Do you like visiting museums? I do! I think museums are fascinating places where you can learn a lot about history, art, culture, science and more. Museums are like windows to the past and the present, and sometimes even the future.

But are museums important today? Some people might think that museums are outdated or boring, or that they only cater to a certain audience. I disagree. I think museums are very important for several reasons. Here are some of them:

  • Museums preserve and showcase our heritage. They help us understand where we came from and how we evolved as a society. They also celebrate the diversity and richness of human creativity and expression.
  • Museums educate and inspire us. They offer us opportunities to discover new things, to expand our horizons, to develop our critical thinking and to appreciate different perspectives. They also spark our curiosity and imagination, and motivate us to pursue our passions and interests.
  • Museums connect and engage us. They provide us with spaces to interact with others, to share our opinions and experiences, to participate in activities and events, and to have fun. They also foster a sense of community and belonging, and promote social inclusion and dialogue.

So, what do you think? Do you agree with me that museums are important today? Or do you have a different opinion? And if you haven’t visited a museum in a while, I encourage you to do so. You might be surprised by what you find!

CARD 20

  1. Speak on the topic “Websites”.
  • What websites do you usually use?
  • If you had a chance, what kind of website would you create? Why?

Now I want to talk about websites. Websites are online platforms that provide information, entertainment, services, or social interaction. They are an essential part of our digital lives and we use them for different purposes.

Some of the websites that I usually use are:

  • Google: This is my go-to search engine for finding anything on the web. I use it to look up facts, definitions, images, videos, news, and more. It’s fast, reliable, and easy to use.
  • YouTube: This is my favorite website for watching videos. I enjoy watching music videos, tutorials, documentaries, comedy sketches, and more. I also like to discover new channels and creators that match my interests.
  • Reddit: This is my favorite website for browsing content and joining communities. I like to read posts and comments from people who share my hobbies, opinions, or experiences. I also like to participate in discussions and debates on various topics.
  • Amazon: This is my favorite website for online shopping. I like to browse products and reviews from different categories and find the best deals.

If I had a chance, I would create a website that combines all of these features into one. It would be a website that lets you search, watch, read, comment, shop, and stream all in one place. It would also have a personalized recommendation system that suggests content and products based on your preferences and behavior. It would be a website that caters to your every need and desire.

Why would I create such a website? Well, because I think it would be convenient, fun, and profitable. It would save me time and effort from switching between different websites and apps. It would also keep me entertained and engaged with diverse and quality content. And it would generate revenue from ads and subscriptions.

Of course, creating such a website would not be easy. It would require a lot of resources, skills, and creativity. It would also face competition from other websites and platforms. But I think it would be worth a try.

What do you think? Do you like my idea for a website? What kind of website would you create if you had a chance?
