Central Asian leaders adopt documents following the Consultative Meeting in Tashkent

The leaders of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan at the seventh Consultative Meeting in Tashkent

On 16 November, following the seventh Consultative Meeting of the heads of Central Asian states in Tashkent, a Joint Statement was adopted.

The meeting was attended by the presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

In addition, the leaders approved the following documents:

  • Appeal to the UN member states on the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic for non-permanent membership of the UN Security Council for the period 2027-2028;
  • Decision on the full participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia;
  • Concept of regional security and stability in Central Asia;
  • Catalogue of security risks in Central Asia and measures to prevent them for 2026-2028.
