Appointment to Uzmetkombinat in October 2024
On October 14, 2024, the Uzbek Metallurgical Plant announced the appointment of Dilshod Tursunkulovich Akhmedov as chairman of the management board — general director of the enterprise.
According to the company, the decision was announced on October 12, 2024, at an off-site meeting chaired by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister and head of the supervisory board, Abdulla Aripov.
The previous head of the enterprise, Rashid Pirmatov, left the position upon retirement.
The statement noted that since January 2021 Akhmedov had worked as first deputy chairman of the management board — executive director of the plant, and since January 2024 he had served as deputy minister of investments, industry and trade of Uzbekistan. He also oversaw the plant’s development as deputy chairman of the supervisory board.
